Victor Cienfuegos Chavez

Victor Cienfuegos Chavez, 82, passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2025. A lifelong resident of Arizona, he was born in Jerome, AZ to Victor Perez Chavez and Connie Cienfuegos Chavez on October 7, 1943. He moved to Phoenix as a child, and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1961. Victor served our country in the U.S. Army From 1967 - 1970, receiving a National Defense Service medal, and a Good Conduct medal. He went on to study at the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration. His career was in computer technology at Honeywell and Bull corporations.

He is survived by his sister, Frances Cienfuegos Baez (Alfonso Baez, Jr), nephew, Alfonso Chavez Baez, III (Patricia Molina) and grandnephew / godson Alfonso Hernandez Baez IV (Karina Baez) their daughters Angela Baez and Lexi Baez, grandniece Christina Hernandez Baez (Gunnar Cook) and their daughter Lennon Gray Baez Cook.

Visitation will be at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E, Indian School Rd, Phoenix, on Friday, December 5 at 11 am, followed by a rosary service at Noon. Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N.48th St Phoenix at 1:00 pm with military honors at graveside.
