Virginia Villaverde

In loving memory of Virginia Villaverde, who graced this world on October 15th, 1936, and departed on February 26th, 2024 at 87 years young. She is survived by her cherished children, Diana Mendoza (Albert) & Ruben Villaverde (Annette), along with a legacy of 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and brother John Quinn. Virginia is also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Daniel Villaverde, her father Pablo Mendoza, mother Manuela Quinn, stepfather Juan Quinn and brothers Ralph Mendoza and Alex Mendoza. 

Virginia's warmth and love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the hearts of all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and an extraordinary grandmother. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her dearly.   

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 5-7 P.M. with a rosary at 6:30 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home at 4800 E. Indian School Rd. in Phoenix.                                                         

The Funeral Mass is on Thursday, March 21st at 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. 2312 E. Campbell Ave. Phx., AZ, 85016.  Burial to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 1:00 P.M., 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phx., AZ, 85024.
