Wallace Knox Moser

March 24, 1938 — February 9, 2024

Marana

Wallace Knox Moser was born March 24, 1938 in Snyder, Texas to Wallace & MaeBel. He grew up with one sister, Marcia. Most of his life was spent in California.

Wally went to high school in Brawley, California and upon graduation moved to Salinas, California where he enlisted in the Army. He was active duty for 7 years and then became part of the Reserves for an additional 14 years.  Wally worked for Monterey County Public Works in Heavy Machinery for 33 years retiring in 2003.

Wally was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jacqueline Lucille. Survived by his son Scott Andrew (Makaela), his grandchildren Caiden & Ashlynn.

Wally will always be remembered for his strong hands, but his gentle soul. He was a man of pride, hard work and extreme dedication.  He believed if you started it, you better finish it.  His passion for life was taller than Mount Everest and his love for family was bigger than the Pacific Ocean.  Wally enjoyed helping others from volunteering in the classroom, helping coach baseball to barbecuing for fundraisers for the Salinas FFA.  He was passionate about helping others, but his biggest and proudest moments were focused on his family.  He took great pride in the fact that his son, Scott had inherited his work ethics, dedication to community and love for family.  He enjoyed endless hours just visiting with Makaela and those two grandchildren: Caiden and Ashlynn – they were his world.  Watching them all enjoy life and appreciate every opportunity was his greatest joy.

He moved to Marana, Arizona with his son & family in 2021 and spent the last 3 years enjoying the history channel & bingo.  He loved the cactus and his “Pets” the Javelina that visited him daily. He was an active supporter of the Marana FFA, Cowboys & Cowgirls Barrel Racing Association, and the local 4-H Clubs.  He never missed a family function and loved supporting & watching his grandchildren compete.

Graveside Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Garden Memories in Salinas California followed by a small reception.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Marana, Arizona in March. Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com.
