Age 76, Died February 22, 2012.
Mary was married to Richard H. O’Riley for 53 years and was the mother of Fairfax, Rowan, Henry, Trudie and Jake, and was the much-loved grandmother of thirteen grandchildren. She was the daughter of Fairfax M. and Gertrude K. Cone. Born in New York City, she was a graduate of Vassar College and received her Master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. Her father was the Chairman of Foote, Cone and Belding and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago. Mary was a talented artist, loved gardening, enjoyed a deep spiritual life.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Drive, Scottsdale, at 10:00 am on Monday the 27th. A reception will be held following the Funeral.

Dear Family of Mary Cone O’Riley,
I just found out about about Mary’s passing. I’m coming to Scottsdale for a visit in October and wanted to see her. No answer on the phone number I have for her so I googled her and found out. I was very sad to hear that she has passed and send you all my condolences.
I visited Mary in 2010 when I lived in Scottsdale and we both shared lunch at each other’s homes. My mother Charlotte Ford Williams Wix, who is no longer living, was Mary’s cousin (not sure if first or second) and knew her father, Fairfax Cone. Eleanor Williams, who was married to Richard Fairfax Williams (no longer living) in Fresno, CA gave me Mary and Dick’s contact information when I lived in AZ so I was able to call and connect. I am now back living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I did speak with Mary a few times on the phone after I moved back to California. I received the nicest holiday card with all your pictures and news in 2011 from Mary. Eleanor is still living and is 96 years old. I would like to keep in contact and my phone is 415-847-9092.

I just looked at the notes in my contact for Mary and her father’s mother was Isabelle Williams who was one the sisters of my grandfather, John Richard Williams (I have the photo of all 13 children) who was my grandfather and my mother’s (Charlotte Ford Williams Wix) father.
