Barbara Jane Herlihy Palmer, born in Los Angeles, California on June 17, 1922. She met the love of her life, James Louis Palmer and were married for over 74 years. They had a beautiful family of 7 children: Mary Louise Wagner (deceased), James L. Palmer, Jr., Sally Lewis, Peggy DeWald, Betsy Hodge, Diane Palmer and Tina Heffernan (deceased); 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her brother Jack Herlihy. Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:30 A.M., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, with graveside service immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery . Barbara and Jim were amongst the first people we met upon moving across the street in 1972. What a wonderful couple and what a great family they raised! Barbara was unflappable, lovely in every way. We will remember her fondly along with the kiddos. Definitely amongst Phoenix Phinest!!
