PAYNE, LEORA “LEE”

In Memorial

Lee Payne passed away Saturday, May 21 at home after battling cancer. She was born May 9, 1933 as Leora Marie Andrews, in Portland, Oregon, the only daughter of Walter and Alma Andrews. She attended high school in Gold Beach, Oregon and recently attended one of her high school reunions with a class of 14 students. She was a stewardess in the 1950’s. She resided in Plainview, Texas where she raised 5 boys. In 1970 she moved to Phoenix and for the last 41 years ws a successful Real Estate Broker. She is survived by her sons Christopher (Chris), Daniel (Dan), Patrick and Michael Braden and granddaughter Melissa. She enjoyed visiting the beach, feeding the birds, swimming with the dolphins and petting tiger cubs and other large cat cubs, followed by a meal of fine food and friends. A celebration of Lee
s life will be held on Saturday, May 282011 at 4:30pm, at Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. She is preceded in death by her son John and her brother William. Lee will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
