92, of Phoenix, AZ died October 11, 2009. Mrs. Piazza was born in Naugatuck, CT, October 6, 1917 to Thomas and Anna Scarano Gallucci. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Piazza. She attended schools in Naugatuck, CT and moved to Phoenix in l987. She is survived by her sisters Christine Gallucci, Amelia Viola Cirio of Phoenix and Ann Sweeney of Woodbury, CT, brother Donald of Phoenix and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue. Arizona arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck, CT. Buckmiller Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family in Connecticut.
