Martin C. Pitcher, 87, of Hobe Sound, Florida died peacefully in his sleep on July 4th 2015. “Marty” as he was called by those who knew him, grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one of 8 children of Harry D. Pitcher and Minnie (née McCusker) Pitcher. Honorably discharged from the Army in 1956, Marty married his beloved wife, Margie, on October 11, 1958. Described by friends as a special gentleman, a true friend, and someone who will be missed dearly by family and friends alike, Marty was a jazz aficionado, a sports fan, and a terrific dance partner. Marty is survived by his wife, Margie, his daughter, Gail, his son Greg, his grandson Quinn, his sisters Rita (née Pitcher) Martelli, Theresa (née) Murtaugh , and his extended family of nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM, at The Casa/The Franciscan Renewal Center, located at 5802 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, Arizona 85253 on Friday, July 10, 2015.
