QUIHUIS,

Sophia Quihuis was born on February 28th, 1923 and passed away on December 24th, 2010. Sophia devoted her life to her family and the Catholic Church. Her hopes are that the memories that she has left behind are happy ones. She leaves us on earth but will be joining her son, Ricky, in heaven. Quihuis, her children Al, Susan, Ed, Mary, Linda and her grandchildren Adrian, Richard, Anthony, Alicia, Jeffrey, Andre, Lauren, Emily, Liberty and Alexandria. Her surviving twin sister is Narcissa Espinoza.
Sophia’s celebration of life will begin with the visitation on Sunday, January 2nd, from 6 – 8pm with the Rosary starting @ 7pm at Whitney &Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 3rd, @ 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 S. Rural Rd., Tempe. Monsignor Hever will be celebrating the Rosary and Mass in honor of Sophia. Just learned of your mother’s passing and am sorry I missed the services. I have fond memories of her from my youth and appreciate her generosity toward the entire family. My mother recently passed away and I know how difficult it is to lose your mother. I will keep the family in my prayers, that God comfort you and give you strength.
    Abrazos,
    Denice Castañeda Morales
