Condolence from David E. Raines on July 1st, 2011 1:43 pm

Robert Raines is my father, and my very best friend. He was the most general man, a man of common sense, and a man with full faith and trust in Jesus Christ. I honor him for the values and lessons he taught me in life, how he always stood with me, and the leadership he showed has husband and father, church member, patriot, assisting others in need and freely sharing his money for Christ cause. He truly set the bar high but I will try all my life to be the man my father was. I am often told that I look like him, I consider that to be an honor, the only higher honor would to be told I act like my father or that they can see Jesus in me. I am going to miss you Dad in ways no one can understand. I made it through the loss of my mother and my only son, but making it without you is going to hard. I have never got over the loss of my son, and you are going to be right there with him. Thanks you for sharing your name, a name you purified and passed on clean and with honor, I will hold it in trust always. Love David

David and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved father. I know how much you loved him and will miss him terribly. But we know that he is in a better place and will live in your hearts forever. I still remember the day that you brought you dad to see me at work. I so appreciated seeing the two of you again after so many years. Just know that I have you in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will be busy, but while you’re in Phoenix and you have a chance please give us a call.

Love, Cathy
