Dora Rapisarda (nee DiStefano), 93, passed away January 12, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Dora retired to Scottsdale, AZ from Long Island, NY after selling her interest in clothier Harvé Bernard. Dora spent many years in the garment industry, and was a pioneering female business owner with the Rosalie Coat Company. She enjoyed a lifelong love of family, food, horses and slots. She leaves a twin sister, Melissa, four children, Rosalie (Harvey), James (Marina), Barbara (Andre), and John (Lucille), 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Joseph. Funeral Mass will be held for Dora at 10am, Monday, January 16, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7655 E. Main Street, Scottsdale. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made in her name to SARRC, the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (www.autismcenter.org).
