READIO, PHILIP OTTO

July 28, 2018 5 Condolences

Philip O Readio Obit

Philip Otto Readio at 62 years of age passed away in his home in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday the 25th of July 2018.

Phil is survived by his Brothers Chris and Dave, his children Nyssa and Ryan, and his grandson Bryce.
From a very young age Phil was a tinkerer, he would take any and everything apart. His Parents, George and Arlene, were loving, kind and patient with his curiosity to learn. One of his role models growing up was his Grandfather Otto. They spent countless hours taking apart and repairing cars, fixing wiring and completing expert carpentry projects. His grandfather could have done all the work in far less time, but wanted to let Phil figure out and learn how everything worked. These were memories Phil held dear to his heart. The values and lessons he learned from his Grandfather he passed down to his children and his grandson Bryce.

Throughout his life Phil enjoyed being active outdoors by going on walks, bike rides, hiking and playing tennis. He liked watching movies, dining in and out, bowling, playing pool, and hopping in his red convertible to take day-trips during the summer. He was always looking to try new recipes and buying interesting kitchen gadgets to make them. He often volunteered in the community and was an active member of the Catholic Church. He spoke of the deep passion he had for his faith.
The relationship he had with his children and his grandson were what made him most happy. He was very much involved with all their lives. He was thrilled to watch Bryce grow up and loved being able to spend so much time together. Being able to be a role model for Bryce like Phil’s Grandfather was to him brought immense joy to his life.

Phil will be remembered most for his genuine kindness, loving nature, and his wonderful laugh that always brought a smile to his family and friend’s hearts. He will be missed dearly and always.

The memorial service will be held on: Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at 10am

Location:

Ryan, Nyssa and Bryce, Our hearts go out to you. What a kind, sweet and wonderful man, your Father was. It was so obvious to all of us just how much he cared and loved you! He is watching over you now and will continue to share in your sorrow and your joys, always. God bless you and console you in this very difficult time. Our love and prayers.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Didn’t know your father well, what I did know of him is that he was very intelligent man . I’m glad to have been given the opportunity to be part of your family.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your loved ones during this time of sorrow.

My condolences to Ryan, Nyssa, Bryce, Chris and Dave and his whole family! You have your special Angel watching over you. May his memory always bring a smile to your faces.

I met Phil while waiting on the confession line, where I would see him often. We used to joke that we had to stop meeting this way. I later found out that he also joined our prayer group. He indeed was a kind and sweet soul, always allowing his analytical mind to confirm his great faith in God! Rest in Peace, my friend!

Keeping all of you in my prayers.

Phil and I shared in small group discussions at Most Holy Trinity and in Faith Builders. We are both engineers which made technical discussions we have had in private very easy. We have experience in common that is very unusual and difficult for most to understand. I am going to miss him. I am sure that with all of his unique qualities, I will not be the only one.

Condolences from Brunner Family on Joppa Circle in Minnesota. Loved to have Phil around for the kind, helpful, humble guy he always was. He helped us many times solve car and house issues. Wouldn’t take a cent. Above that, he was just a great guy to spend a little time with. Think of him often. Sad to hear this news.
