Rodek, Suzanna “Suzie”
78 of Phoenix, passed on June 2, 2010. Born on July 8, 1931 in Szaszhalom Batta, Hungary, Suzie was a kindergarten teacher until immigrating to the United States in l957 with her eldest son Martin Rodek, Jr. Suzie is survived by husband Martin Rodek, Sr., Son George Rodek, daughter Dorothi Cassini and grandchildren Rachel Rodek and Adam Cassini. Loved by all, she was an amazing wife, mother and friend and held a special place in her heart for everyone she knew. Suzie loved travel, cooking and baking and sent her Hungarian delicacies across the US to bring happiness and love to all in her family. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, with a Scripture Service at 7:00 pm, June 7, 2010 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix (602)-840-5600. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road (602) 840-0850. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
