Cecilia enjoyed life to the fullest. Family gathering was everything to her. It was that moment she was able to share love with everyone at the same time. Cecilia’s passion for faith, family and sports was felt in any interaction we all shared with her. One of her most cherished stories was sitting in left field during game 7 of the World Series. Witnessing her beloved Diamondbacks become World Champions. Her unforgettable laughter as she described her stories or hearing a good joke is something we all will miss. We will love and remember you always, Cecilia.

To my Tio and my Rodriguez Famiy,
My Tia Cecilia was an amazing, beautiful, selfless, kind hearted person with a laugh and smile that would light any room. I will forever cherish every moment and every memory with my Tia. The love her and Tio have are definitely couple goals for Fernando and I and to have them lead our wedding March 19 years ago I will say luck is probably on our side. Tia thank you for loving “Grandson” like your very own losing you is the first time he truly understands what it’s like to mourn and although it’s difficult for him he knows that he has a guardian angel by his side always and he talks to you often ❤️. Thank you Rodriguez family for including Alex in the obituary even in your darkest hour you still find a way think of others…We are so honored and blessed. We love you all so very much and have you in our thoughts and prayers today and always.

To my Tio and Rodriguez,
Oh how I was blessed to be part of an an amazing family, my Tia is the most kind-hearted, selfless , loving person. I am lucky to have such great memories to last a lifetime. I was lucky to witness the love between her and my Tio and 19 years ago my husband and I we’re lucky enough to have them lead our wedding march and so hopefully some of that love rubbed off on us…Tia “grandson” misses you and loves you so much although this has been a difficult learning experience for him, he knows that he has the most beautiful guardian angel looking down upon him and guiding him. Thank you Rodriguez family even in your darkest hour you are always thinking about others Fernando and I are very blessed to you all for including and thinking about Alex. We love you all so very much.

Rodriguez Family, my heartfelt condolences,
I am so saddened to hear about Cecelia’s passing. She was always so happy when I would see her at the Senior Center and I really missed her presence there when I returned there after my own illness. The Gonzales family made the center a much happier place to visit. She was only a month older than me and makes me think of our mortality , God only knows our time and her Gonzales laughter will resound throughout Heaven, what a joyful place that will be with her there, with Love and sadness your friend,
Ginny Hernandez

It has been difficult to put into words how I feel with my Nina/Tia’s passing. I was blessed to be confirmed into our strong and beautiful Catholic faith with my Tia Cecilia as my NINA!!! My mother, Mary Gonzales Ybarra loved my Nina so much and I truly believe it was destiny. My Nina always brought light into the room when she entered. Her smile was powerful and her laughter, infectious. That was puro Gonzales! Our familia is the most beautiful gift from God. My Nina was a strong and powerful woman and I looked up to her as both protector and nurturing role model. She always reminded me of my precious Momma, who I miss so much. I can only imagine my Momma greeting her with open arms in heaven, “Aye Cecilia – mira el cielo es tan hermoso!” I love you Nina – thank you – may your journey to paradise be joyful. Give my Momma and Daddy hugs and kisses for me.
