Our sweet Lord has called Juliette Valenzuela Rojas age 77 born June 4, 1945, in Los Angeles, CA, a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin into eternal peace on Monday, March 20, 2023.
Juliette lived most of her life as an in-home nurse doing what she enjoyed most, taking care of others, which brought her much joy. She also bartended at many of the local restaurants that many of us know and were patrons of here in Phoenix.
Our Nana Julie to some, and to many others, Downtown Julie Brown, loved dancing to her 50’s music, the Tigre De Norte, as well as, singing along to Vicente Fernández songs. She had many friends near and far that she had the pleasure of spending time with, bringing them lots of joy and laughter. Juliette loved watching her Western movies and Novellas. She lived her life the way she wanted and could not be told what to do. She pushed the limits and wanted to do things her own way. She was true to herself and true to her friends and family she loved dearly. Juliette would always put others first before her own good.
Juliette is survived by her loving children, Antoinette (Patricio) Olvera, Arlene (George Mendoza) Ramirez, Susie Medina, Richard Medina, and Veronica Gaona. Her many beautiful 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Juliette will be celebrated on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018, from 11AM to 1PM for visitation. The burial service will follow immediately after at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
