ROSSETTO, CATHY LINDA

September 17, 2016 34 Condolences

ROSSETTO,

Cathy Linda Rossetto, 49, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2016 at her home in Anthem, AZ.  She put up an extraordinarily brave fight against breast cancer for the past few years.  She was surrounded by loving family and friends. Cathy was born on July 13, 1967.  She was the daughter of Marcel and Rejeanne Bizier.  She was the middle child.  Cathy was born at Torrington hospital in Torrington, CT.  She grew up in Enfield , CT where she attended Hazardville Memorial Elementary School, JFK Junior High and Fermi High School.  She always had a thirst for knowledge and desire to enrich her life, which led her to take ballet and modeling lessons in her youth, study stenography and cosmetology after high school and most recently become a Certified Raw Foods Chef and Holistic Health Coach.  She moved to Arizona in 1999 where she spent most of her adult life. She felt a very strong connection to the area.  She worked in the medical field in Arizona until she could no longer work due to her illness.  She was also extremely gifted in interior design and took great pride in decorating and was very creative.  She loved to be outdoors in nature and went hiking on local trails very often.

However, her greatest personal accomplishments and satisfaction came from her children and grandchildren whom she adored.  She is survived by her father, Marcel Bizier of Marco Island, FL and her mother Rejeanne Bizier of Enfield, CT; her soul mate and the love of her life Tony Rossetto; her sons Chuck Rathbun, Jr. and Anthony Rossetto, Jr.; grandsons Brayden, Austin and Liam Rathbun; siblings Sylvie Hall and Steve Bizier; nephews, Christian and Zachary Hall, as well as stepmother Barbara Bizier, stepsister Angel Fillmore and daughter-in-law Michelle Rathbun.  She also left many other loving family and friends whose lives she touched every day.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours which will be held at 9:00 am, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Catholic Parish, 2825 W. Rose Canyon Circle, Anthem, AZ 85086.  Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.

The family would like to give a huge thank you to Linda Stoenner for all of her dedication and involvement in Cathy’s life and for her ongoing support and to Denise Dimas as well for her compassion, care and support.  Cathy was a very positive and spiritual person who put family first before anything else in life.  She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Cathy’s memory to St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Catholic Parish.

Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.

There is not an ounce of me that doesn’t believe in the afterlife. I picture cathy looking upon you wih all of her health, vitality and strength restored, without an ache nor a pain, her youth restored, looking as she looked at her most beautiful moment on earth, surrounded by love, at the foot of her maker, surrounded by the loved ones who have predeceased her, happy beyond words, knowing that she van be with each nd everyone of you in spirit when you need her most. Waiting to greet you and be reunited with you when it is your turn, to a place far more beautiful, serene, peaceful and grand than here. I am sad for your loss, I am happy she no longer has to struggle and suffer.

Marcel, Barbara and Cathy’s Family; I am so sorry over the loss of your daughter. The loss of a child is truly one of the hardest challenges in life. Even in their adult years, they are still our children. Reading your daughters story above, describes a truly gifted, giving and incredible woman. I am saddened that she was taken from this earth so soon. Please know that you are all in my thoughts. I am sending peace and love during this difficult time.

Cathy f and her family lived on Abbe Rd right down the street from my family where we grew up. We attended Middle school, junior high school and High School together. All of the Stanio kids had a special bond with the Bizier family. Cathy was so beautiful and a very close friend of my younger sister, Kathy. My deepest sympathy to all those that lost a wonderful person. God bless, Sandy

I work at a pharmacy where Cathy bought her medication from time to time. She was blunt about her fight and what she was up against. Once she teared up and apologized. I told her no need to apologize. I thought, what kind of person faces such a struggle and still wishes to apologize for shedding a tear? I was awe struck by her strength and grace. Until the last time I saw her, she was playing the hand she was dealt with all her might. I never felt her seek pity. I didn’t know her personally. I write this to say she impacted people she never realized she did. The world lost a great one. They are not hard to spot, even in passing. May God continue to bless and heal those who feel her loss.
