ROWLAND, MARGARET L

Margaret L. Rowland, 87, passed away on May 23, 2013. She was born June 18, 1925 in Chicago, IL and graduated cum laude in 1946 from Linfield College in Oregon and later earned a Masters Degree in Home Economics from Purdue University.  She enjoyed teaching roles in Oregon, Kansas, Nevada, and California before moving to Scottsdale in July 1970.   She was proceeded in death by her husband The Rev. William P. Rowland who was Rector of St. Barnabas on the Desert from 1970 – 1976.  She is survived by her two brothers Bruce Laetsch of Indianapolis and Mac Laetsch of Berkeley; her son Arthur Rowland and his wife Kathy of Scottsdale and their two children Aidan and Emma; and her daughter Mary Elizabeth Gray and her husband Doug of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and their two children Michela and Cameron; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Margaret was an active member of Trinity Cathedral and held many leadership roles over the years.  Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4th at Trinity Cathedral, 100 West Roosevelt, Phoenix.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity Cathedral, Altar Guild are requested.
