I adored Peggy! She was 30 years my senior, but I never could keep up with her! She was a conservative Republican, yet the most democratic person I ever knew! She had friends from all age groups and all walks of life. She had the gift of making you feel you were the most important person in the room,-even if 30 other people were in the room! She was somebody with whom you could “Stay weird. Stay different.” She instilled self-confidence in me and inspired me to speak up for myself-still working on that one. Peggy and I never discussed politics – but boy, did we talk about everything else! I am sure Peggy is the new dance captain for the heavenly chorus! Bye Peggy! I’m going to miss you!
PS Are you going for walks in heaven, or are you still thinking about it? (Our favorite private joke)

I was totally shocked today, to find out Peggy passed away. It seemed like just a month ago that I called and we talked about getting together for lunch to catch up on things, since she and I saw each other at Tonalea Elementary School. The last time I saw her was in the staff lounge for cake and final farewells, when she and the other ladies retired from the District. I would see her every day when setting up for lunch and afterward. I’d have music piped through the P.A., with Dean Martin playing. She would come out and start to dance that cute little hip wiggle move she had. We had so much fun, talking and being silly. She reminded me of my Grandma. She never grew up and could just sing and dance and joke about things and always called me “Mikey”.
She told me of the time she lived in L. A. and worked as a model and then worked as a waitress in a famous restaurant and the famous actors and actresses she would meet.
She was a very “Classy” lady. I will miss her horribly, since I wasn’t able to see her one more time. God Bless, You Peggy. I Love You….. Mikey ;_
