Cecilia Saavedra, 104, of Phoenix, passed away on March 21st, 2018, in Phoenix, AZ. Cecilia was born 104 years ago on November 22nd, 1913, in Phoenix. She was a very strong woman and beloved and cherished by her family. She was looking forward to the day she could go to heaven and be reunited with her family. We celebrate with her. She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Irene Figueroa, Susie Thomas, Rosie Jean Riddley, Nellie Flores, Diana Cordova, and David Cordova. Cecilia is also survived by many second, third, and fourth generation nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. A Visitation and recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Monday, March 26th, 2018 at 1:00 P.M at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, in Phoenix. The Funeral Mass to follow at 1:30 P.M. Interment will be at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street in Phoenix. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tia Cecilia’s life.
