On Monday, March 22, 2021, Sergio Eric Salazar (Ember), son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend peacefully passed away at the age of 37, surrounded with love by family.
Sergie attended St, Gregory’s Catholic School and International Commerce Secondary High School. He enjoyed listening to music, writing songs and poetry.
He lived life to the fullest. He was a “chatterbox”, and was able to connect with just anyone. He never spoke negatively about anyone. Serg had challenges in life but always managed to have a smile on his face and be utterly grateful for life, family and friends.
He endlessly thought about others that he chose to be an Organ Donor and to give humanity life. His light will continue to shine through the 3 people that he gifted with love.
His bear hugs and laughter will be immensely missed and he will be in our hearts forever. As he would say “love is everything”.
Rest In Peace my beautiful boy.
Sergie is survived by his children Izabela and Gabriele Pete; mother Rose Ann Esparza, and father Steven Anthony Salazar; brothers Steven Anthony, Skyler Francisco Salazar, Isreal Salazar and Robert Salazar; grandmother Velia Esparza; aunts Yvonne Esparza; Olivia (Paul) Salinas; Sylvia (Joe) Martinez; Stella (Vincent) Garcia and Toni Carreon. Uncles Pete Esparza; David (Margaret) Esparza; Robert (Veronica) Esparza, and Micheal Salazar. Many, many cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Interment is immediately following at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Condolences and Hugs from Home may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfh.com.

Condolences to my tia and cousins. I love you guys. Rest well my cousin.
I live on a busy street and see lots of people. I saw many people whether I was in my kitchen washing dishes or sitting on my bench in the front yard. I often saw my cousin walking past my home. After it became a regular to see him walking by I began to look for him in everyone person that walks by. I would know it was him when he would call out my name and throw up a peace sign with his fingers. And saddest part is that I still do this.
Much love to you cousin! Rest well.
