One of the greatest men who ever lived went peacefully at home on March 24, 2011 after being lovingly cared for by his favorite niece Laura Hayes. Born November 4, 1926 in Youngstown, OH, Larry proudly called Arizona home since 1950. The loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and great uncle will be greatly missed by his wife Theadora of 62 years, daughter Lydia Ann, son Lawrence Jr., his sister Irene and grandchildren Bricie, Jamar and Lauren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Larry was a truck driver for 39 years and a Teamster with Local 104. He enjoyed golf, his Arizona Cardinals football, tinkering outside and anything chocolate. Waiting to greet him at heaven’s gate are his parents Francis and Sarah; his brothers Francis, James, George; and sisters Ruth and Rosemary. My GodPaPa Larry was the best. I have many fond memories personally and my family (the Bender’s) have many fond memories collectively. My family and the Schillings grew up together just a few doors apart. Larry always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He loved his family and friends..all of us..dearly and we all loved him dearly in return. He was a very open, giving person. He will be sorely missed and forever loved.
