SHEAR, SHAWN TERESE

March 22, 2013 5 Condolences

SHEAR,

Shawn Shear departed this world on March 20, 2013 at the young age of 43, after her graceful and courageous battle with a cancerous brain tumor.  Shawn is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Brad Shear; her four sons, Ryan (17), Andrew (14), Adam (12) and JT (7); father, Larry Winge; mother, Rita Winge; brother, Jason (Mackenzie) Winge; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews from Brad’s and Shawn’s families.   Shawn’s loving and compassionate personality, combined with her strong work ethic and competitive spirit, while balanced with her wonderful sense of humor, garnered much respect and love from countless friends and co-workers.  Following her graduation from Loyola University of Chicago, Shawn began her career with the United States Probation Office where she worked for twenty years in the Chicago, Tucson and Phoenix offices.  Shawn truly loved raising her boys with Brad and providing them with the foundation of a strong Catholic education.  Shawn’s loving, supportive and encouraging attendance at her boys’ sporting events will be sorely missed.  Shawn’s family has been, and continues to be, humbled and deeply grateful for the prayers, love and support provided by their family, friends and community over the last 13 months.  On Monday, March 25th, the family will gather for a private prayer service at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix, followed by an opportunity for friends to express condolences and well wishes from 4:30 – 6:30 P.M.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Shawn’s honor on Tuesday, March 26th, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Shawn Shear Donation Fund”, c/o Milligan Lawless, PC,  4647 N. 32nd Street, Suite 185, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
