Charles Sivak 2

Charles “Chuckles” Louis Sivak peacefully passed away July 4, 2019 at the age of 64. Born January 11, 1955 in Passaic, New Jersey to Charles Joseph and Grace Marie (Colaianni) Sivak (deceased), and brother of Dorian (deceased). He is survived by two loving and devoted children, Katherine “Katie” and Charles “Chip”, ex-wife Tracy Monaghan, and man’s best friend, Peanut. Charlie attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Scottsdale for grades 1-8 and graduated from Scottsdale High School.

Charlie was a loving, involved father who always put his family first. He loved coaching, teaching, and sharing his knowledge. He never missed an opportunity to make new memories. He was an innovative businessman who helped create the foundation of counterculture retail and was an expert salesman who passed his talents on to others.

Charlie truly lived life to the fullest. He marched to his own beat flashing his contagious smile. He was an eclectic man with a unique sense of humor, always testing the boundaries in the name of fun. He could be found at a Cardinals’ game with a beer in hand, sneaking away on a red-eye to Vegas, or hunting out new joints listed in the New Times.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix on Thursday, July 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Come and go as you please. In lieu of flowers, pour yourself a shot. He would have wanted that. Or please make a donation to Hospice of the Valley, 16117 N 76 Street, Scottsdale, Arizona, 85260. HOV.org
Happy Trails!

Katie & Chip, I babysat you when you were young, and both of your parents showed me much kindness, grace, and generosity. Your dad was my confirmation sponsor. The Lord graced Charlie with a fun spirit and a loving and generous heart, which he graciously shared with others. My condolences as you grieve your loss, and my prayers that you have a lifetime of peace and beautiful memories. Much love, Helen Scott

I worked for Charlie in the 80s. I’ll never forget his voice and his laugh – they make me smile, to this day! I also remember the intelligence in his eyes, right behind that bright spark! I didn’t know him well, but I wanted to leave my respects. Every time I hear the voice of Prospector Zeke in Wizard101, I think of Charlie. Then I imagine how much better it would have been had he actually done it. Fly high, Charlie, and Godspeed. Peace to the family.

Katie and Chip,

So sorry to hear about losing your Dad. The Sivaks are people! I didn’t know your Dad that well but your Uncle Dorian was my best friend in grade school, may he rest in peace. I pray you can find peace in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus.

God bless you both.

Chip and Katie you were both babies the last time that I saw you. I worked with your dad and was close to him for many years. We built retail stores from Arizona, Denver, and Hawaii .
In my life and all the people around me, I believe Charlie was always one that I knew had my back. Knowing he would fight to the death. He was brave, strong and determined to win.
Charlie was an amazing leader and certainly fun to be around. We worked hard and everything we did we made sure that we had fun in the process. On one of our trips to Hawaii, Charlie had a late night and when he got back to the hotel I happen to have woke up finding Charlie thinking my closet was the bathroom…. lets say… I needed to go buy some new shoes that day.,.. This is one of my many fun stories of Charlie. He will be forever remembered as one of my best friends for life.
