Richard (Ricardo) “Vachie Belardi passed away on APril 4th, 2013 at the age of 83. Born on February 5, 1930, in Livingston, California.  Richard is the son of loving parents, Catalina and Felipe Soto.  He was preceded in death by Loving wife Dolores Soto.  Ricardo is survived by his sons Richard, Joey, and Phil Soto, daughters Yolanda Soto, and Theresa Castillo, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, his brother Arthur Ledesma and sister Connie Yama.  After moving from California to Arizona he called Phoenix his home.  Richard proudly served in the United States Army with the 4th Regiment 2nd BN. F Co in 1948.  He began his military career in Ft. Lewis, Washington before being stationed in Anchorage, Alaska during the Korean War.  After his military service, Richard became a Journeyman Glazier and member of the Glaziers Local Union #1610 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was especially proud of the framing and glass work he completed during the construction of the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM with Rosary at 10:30 AM. Monday, April 15th, 2013 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018.  Military Graveside Service will follow at 12:30 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ.
