Josephine Anne St. Angelo, 88, from Massapequa, New York, died peacefully at home on June 21, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on July 31, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York to Margaret Trizzino and Louis Marino. She was married on May 30, 1953, in Queens Village, New York, to her love John Joseph St. Angelo.
Josephine is survived by her sister Catherine Vassallo and brother Phillip Marino; daughters and sons-in-laws Susan and Michael Lafata and Karen and Ron Kilgard; six grandchildren, Austin Converse, Michele Truffin, Jonathan Converse, Jack Kilgard, Vincent Lafata, and Christopher Converse; and four great grandchildren, Theodore Converse, Everett Converse, Henry Converse, Simone Kilgard and Charlie Converse.
Josephine worked at New York Telephone Company for many years but taking care of her two girls and her husband was what was most important to her and made her most happy. She enjoyed boating, the beach, and traveling with her husband and family. Dancing with her husband, socializing and entertaining her friends, and hosting parties at her home were some of her favorite things . Family and friends were the key to life for Josephine. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00am at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A celebration of life to follow at the home of Karen Kilgard, 349 E. Monte Vista Rd., Phoenix. All are welcome to join.
