80, a native of Phoenix was born on June 22, 1931 and passed away on January 12, 2012. Jo graduated from Whittier Elementary School, North High School and ASU where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, F. Robert Stevens, whom she met on a blind date. Her children Chris (Shelley), Bill (Sherry) and Kelly will always remember ‘Mom’ being their #1 supporter, as Cub Scout Den Mother, Campfire Girl Leader and the countless ballgames she attended. Jo was very proud of her grandchildren, Taylor, Courtney, Ryan, Luke, Jenna and Laura. She will be missed by her sister Theresa Schilling and brother Andy Chuka, Jr. as well as many close nieces, nephews and cousins. In retirement, Jo remained active in the North High Alumni Association and the Assistance League of Phoenix. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service and Reception Celebrating Jo’s Life at 4:30pm, Saturday, January 21st at the Luther Life Center, Beatitudes Campus, 1610 W. Glendale Avenue, Phoenix, 85021. In lieu of flowers, Jo would appreciate donations to the Assistance League of Phoenix, 9224 N. 5th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85020.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jo Anne. She was a beautiful lady in so many ways. I was lucky enough to be trained by her to take her place at Meaker the Printer before she retired from the printing industry.
I know she loved her family more than anything else in this world and I have no doubt that she will be keeping watch over you all until you meet again.
I am sorry for the loss but feel priviledged to have known her.
