September 28, 2017 Leave A Condolence

Carmen Stewart

Carmen Stewart, a long-time resident of the Phoenix area, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center. She is survived by her beloved children – her daughter; Kris and son; Scott, as well as her son-in-law; Joe, daughter-in-law; LeAnn and grandson; Nathan and step-grandson; Zach. Born on September 4, 1937, in Memphis, TN, to her parents Roger and Mary Bowen Poitras. Carmen grew up in Osceola, AK amongst an extended and loving family. Carmen received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Ole Miss University and had a wonderful career in teaching and bookkeeping. Carmen loved playing bridge, going to movies, bible study, spending time with friends, traveling, cheering for the Rebels and sharing stories about her children and grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Whitney Murphy Funeral Home in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. “For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” Second Corinthians 5:1
