Nelda Irene Flesher Stultz, 92 of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018. She was born on December 13, 1925 in Martinton, Illinois to Harry and Irene (Burger) Flesher. Nelda moved to Indiana where she graduated high school in 1944 and met the love of her life. She married Joe in 1945, moved to Arizona and welcomed their first child in 1951. She enjoyed motherhood and added three more children to complete their family. It was a busy time with all the activities but well worth the hard work, sweat and tears. Nelda was extremely proud to see all her children graduate from college and start families of their own. She had five grandchildren and was very involved in each of their lives. She was also the first person to brag about how proud she was that they all had college degrees, as well. Nelda was also a great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. Family was first in Nelda’s eyes and it showed. The love she has for her family and friends will forever be cherished. Nelda is survived by her four children; oldest son Kent Stultz, son Gregg Stultz (Joni), daughter Barb Hively (Sonny), daughter Pam Stultz, five grandchildren; Tiffany Melia (Dan), Kristen Boland (Tere), John Stultz, Taylor Hayden (Brandon), Jordyn Hively and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Irene Flesher and Husband Joe Stultz. She will be missed greatly by all, but never forgotten. She has shared many memories, traditions and stories that will live on forever in the hearts of many. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Green Acres Cemetery. A Memorial Service is scheduled at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Bridge United Methodist Church, 4900 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please send all contributions to the Nelda and Joe Stultz Education Scholarship (30007177), Mary Fulton Teachers College, P.O. Box 2260, Tempe, Arizona 85280-2260 or online at www.asufoundation.org in Nelda’s honor.

Barb,
I will pray that God grant you and your family strength and courage at this time, and that He gives you the comfort that is as good as a mother’s heavenly touch.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to help you in any way that you need at anytime. Remember a friend in need is a friend in deed. So, please let me know. I’ll check in on you again to see what I can do.”
In Christ,
Your friend,
