Sunderman, Ronlyn Lorayne Talbot, 70, of Phoenix, passed away at home on Friday, November 30, 2018, after battling pancreatic cancer. Ronnie was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 27, 1948. She was the daughter of June Berryman Talbot and Garvin Wayne Talbot who came to Phoenix in 1954. She attended North Phoenix High School and Northern Arizona University where she met the love of her life, Robert James Sunderman, husband of 47 years. Ronnie touched the hearts of so many families as a teacher and then as the Director at Creighton United Methodist Children’s Center for over 35 years, and more recently at Covenant Child Care Center. For the past 50 years, Ronnie was a very active member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband and their children, Robert James Sunderman Jr., Carin Tingle and Laurel Sunderman, her siblings Georgia Talbot, Marcia Smith, Berryman (Skip) Talbot and Michael Talbot. She loved her grandchildren Ryan, Jaycen, Alex and James so very much.
A Celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church or Hospice of the Valley.
