Susan Frances Palumbo Clements, born August 2nd, 1931, in
Middlesex, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2008 following a long illness. Following the loss of her first husband, Costo Natalizio, Susan moved to Phoenix, AZ, from her native New Jersey in 1959, with her son John, to aid her father who sought relief from arthritis in Arizona’s climate. Their pursuit of equine competition took them on a tour of racing emporiums throughout the United States, sipping mint juleps at the Kentucky Derby as well as sun-drenched winter days at Turf Paradise. Susan then remarried retired Realtor giant Gene Clements. Susan and Gene shared a thirst for travel, and together they explored every corner of the world for well over the next decade. Ballroom dancing was their hallmark and pastime while cruising the seas their preferred mode of vacation transportation. Susan is survived by her son John, sister Mary, numerous nieces and nephews as well as countless friends who knew Susan for her vibrant personality and loving nature. Always a person of giving, Susan will also be remembered for her indelible passion for life. Services will be held, Wednesday, February 20th, 10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 2121 S.
