TAMASAUCKAS, WALTER

December 13, 2018 Leave A Condolence

In Memorial

Our hearts are saddened to announce the passing of Walter Tamasauckas, who died peacefully in the arms of his love, Cheryl, in the early morning of December 5, 2018.
Walt was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1931, and moved to Arizona when he was stationed at Luke Air Force Base. He was a man of many talents, and influenced countless lives throughout his own. While we will miss him greatly, we take solace in the idea that he is now at peace.
Walt is survived by wife Cheryl, children Tom, Stephanie Brown (Doug), and Matt, stepchildren Carl Monaco (Theresa) and Christin Monaco, grandchildren Amber (Alex), Alexandra, Mitch, “Tall” Tyler, Preston, Tyler, and Cade, and great-grandchildren Emily and Charlotte.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Walt’s life (and what would have been his 87th birthday) will be held at St. Theresa’s Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix, on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Reception to follow immediately after in Feeney Hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Walt.

    So sorry for your loss.
What a great neighbor for over 20 years.
Walt’s dry humor masked his big heart.
He could be counted on to help this and other neighbors with whatever was needed at the moment. We were included as family in many of life’s celebrations and holidays. I am so grateful to have known him.
