TAMERON,

Patricia (Pat/Patsy) Helen Tameron, beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away December 8, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ surrounded by her family at 80 years old. Patricia was born February 27, 1933 in Miami, AZ to Joseph and Jesse Fernandez. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joe O. Tameron, their children; Joe (Kathy), Mark, Andrea, Laura, and David (Jessica); grandchildren, Beth Steinbach (Stephen), Bailey, Jake, Abbey, Jenna; great grandson, Kiptyn Steinbach; sister, Gloria Purlia, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert, and sister, Celia. Patricia was a graduate of Arizona State University, an accomplished musician, and was a member of The Phoenix Symphony Orchestra as a violinist in her younger years. She was a retired school teacher from the Madison School District, and kept up with many of her students, always saying, “She never had a bad student.” Her favorite pastimes were traveling and spending time with her family and friends whom, she loved very much. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85018. A Rosary will immediately follow from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday December 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Avenue. Interment immediately following at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 719 N. 27th Avenue. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Patricia’s memory to The American Cancer Society.
