TESORIERO, PATRICIA ELLA LOUISE
Patricia Ella Louise, “Patti,” Tesoriero passed away of natural causes on February 9, 2018 at her apartment in central Phoenix. Patti was the fourth child born to Barney and Viola (Voita) Tesoriero on January 25, 1957, the feast of the conversion of Saint Paul. Patti is survived by her daughter, Pat Sampson, and grandchildren Marquita, Demetrius, and Angie, as well as by her sister and brother-in-law Maria and John Guerrero and her dear niece and nephew Cristina and Joseph Guerrero, as well as by her brother and sister-in-law Bart and Brenda Tesoriero and nephew Josh and nieces Teresa (Tesoriero) West and her husband Chris, Paula, and Hannah (Tesoriero) DeVivo and her husband Jacob, and their daughter Carmella Rose DeVivo. Patti is also survived by her sister Kathy Tesoriero, her cousin Barb Voita, and many Voita and Tesoriero cousins. Patti attended Saint Thomas the Apostle grade school, Suffolk Hills Catholic High School in Tucson, and Saint Mary’s High School in Phoenix. She worked for some years in various jobs and then moved into care giving for the elderly. Patti loved life, and she really loved singing. Some of her favorite songs were “The Rose,” “The Way We Were,” “New York, New York,” “For Baby,” “Fire and Rain,” and “O Happy Day!” Patti also loved to speak of Jesus to anyone she could. She would hand out holy cards and encourage people to trust in the Lord. Patti was not perfect, but she did seek to forgive all who injured or ignored her, and she asked forgiveness for her faults as well. The good news, the great news, the absolutely wonderful news, is that Jesus loved Patti first, as He loves all of us. He died to save Patti and each of us. This is His amazing grace, and through a life of joys and sorrows, of dreams dreamed and of hopes dashed, Patti trusted in Jesus and His mercy. To God be all the glory! Patti’s Rosary/Eulogy will be at 9:45 AM on Wednesday, February 21st, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow the Mass, at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery. We would humbly invite anyone who would feel so inclined, to please donate memorial gifts in Patti’s honor to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, P.O. Box 13600, Phoenix. God love you!

I especially remember Patti singing with full gusto and loving heart, the Ave Maria, in St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

Our love, thoughts and prayers are with Patti Ella’s family as all who knew her mourn the loss of such a sweet and loving soul. Her love of and trust in God was always evident when we would see her. Always a smile. A beautiful voice has been added to the Heavenly choir! May her dear soul rest in peace.
I will always remember Patti stepping out of her apartment with a spirit full of joy singing a song that came from the depths of her heart! Her singing had the effect of lifting up everyone’s spirits! Truly, Patti is one of God’s favorites and no doubt her joy is complete as she sings with the angels. God Bless all of the Tesoriero’s during this time of loss. Your loss truly is Heaven’s gain.
I love you Patti & will treasure our memories of the Colorado trip and ‘our song’, “The Rose” forever❤️
Tesoriero Family,
Patti was a childhood friend, 24th and Meadowbrook, in her pink house. With a Dad who sang in his garden, a Mom who was joyous- and had a lead foot on the gas pedal when running errands in their station wagon- haha. Such a loving family. All her siblings were kind, sweet, and caring people. I have not talked to Patti in over 30 years. I was visiting family, Patti saw me and ran over to hug me, we sat on that corner curb and chatted for a long time, like no time had passed. She told me her worries, sang a few favorites of ours. She had a glorious voice, and shared her gift whenever she could. I’m sad for her passing, and grateful to have known such a vibrant Soul. Rest well Patti.
Love,
Cathy Germain
Deepest condolences to the Tesoriero family for your loss.

It’s said that when St. Padre Pio once was asked about the source of singing voices overheard at San Giovanni Rotondo, he replied, It’s angels taking souls … into Paradise.
How good that Patti liked singing.
May God welcome Patti and bless you!
