Jean Anne Tipfer, 81, of Phoenix, passed away on January 9, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Phoenix in 1961 from Pennsylvania. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital as an assistant supervisor for environmental services for 19 years. Jean served as a Lector at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. She was a good mother to a loving family. She is survived by her husband James; son Norman Egolf; 2 grandchildren, Krystal Holmgren and Mara Doyle and 2 great grandchildren. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, in Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 13, 2017, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 400 N. 30th Street, in Phoenix. Interment to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
