TRYGAR,

88, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2012. She was born in Pittsburg, PA, and came to Phoenix in 1945. On the train to Phoenix she entertained our troops returning from WWII, as she was an accomplished accordion player. She thoroughly enjoyed interacting with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean had a beautiful personality and positive outlook on life. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 6:00-8:00P.M., with a Rosary at 7:00P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M., at St. Paul Catholic Church, 330 W. Coral Gables Dr., Phoenix. Interment to follow at St. Francis Cemetery

What fond memories we all have of Jean … and those memories go back a long time ago when we all first moved to Phoenix! Jean had a beautiful smile, possessed a wonderful disposition, and she made you feel at home the minute you walked into her home. The old family gatherings, complete with accordion music, were the best!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you right now. Let us all celebrate her life.

We have lost the most wonderful person I have ever know, my Grandmother. I am glad that she is no longer suffering, but my heart aches because I will miss her so deeply. Because of her I am a better person, and without her I will never be the same. I am so blessed that I got to see her with my kids. Those memories will live on forever. Busia, I love you more than words could ever say…we all do. Rest in peace.

“Cioci” Jean will always be fondly remembered. She was a dear aunt to me and I remember her genuine goodness and that sweet smile she had for everyone. She has gone on to the reward she so richly deserves. May all of you in her family find peace. Love, Jo Ipnar Lucarz
