TWIST, JEAN B
Jean B. Twist, 91, of Phoenix, devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all she met, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016. She lived a life of unconditional love. She was preceded in death and in new life by her beloved husband, J. G. “Bud” Twist. She will be buried alongside him at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
Jean was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 30, 1925. Her life was a testament to her love for Christ, her country, and her family. She sent out smiles to all she met, made lasting friends easily, and served as a witness to the love and sacrifice of Jesus every day. Her earnest desire was that all would come to know the Lord. She gloried in bringing communion to shut-ins, which she did for many years. She taught Bible studies in all the many places she lived. She loved sharing good times with all.
Services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4930 E. Greenway Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254. A reception and celebration of her life will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Resurrection Lutheran Church in her name. http://www.rlc-scottsdale.org
I would like to give my deepest condolences to the family of Jean B. Twist I would also like to share some hope from the Bible, in Revelation chapter 21 verse 4 it says “He will wipe every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore . The former things have passed away.” So here we see how God soon plans to put an end to all suffering , also in John chapter 5 verse 28 and 29 it mentions how all those in the memorial tombs will come out, so we will have the chance to see our loved ones again. It is with a heavy heart that I am losing my second Mom! Auntie Jean you will be so missed but I know you are up dancing with Bud … Your true soul mate., and hugging your parents. We will all be together again. Hugs and kisses to our newest Angel!
Steve and family,
I have so many fond memories of your mother. She and my grandmother and she and my mother were always so close and I loved being with them when they were together. I always admired Jean’s kindness and respect for others. She had a special way about her and I really looked up to her. I will miss her dearly. She was definitely a blessing to everyone that had the fortune of knowing her.
Sending peace and love to you all.

We have a saying here “Minnesota Nice” and that’s our Auntie Jean
Positive energy, she had enough to inspire us all.
We will miss her “Oh I love you honey”
but we will hold her smile, her chuckle, her twinkle and her love in our hearts forever
My dearest Cousin Steve and Family~
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us everyday.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
Rest In Peace for our beloved Auntie Jean. She is God’s beautiful daughter and was such an amazing woman and influence in my and my children’s lives. Danielle is forever grateful to have shared her same Birthday and sends her love, as do Ryne and Cameron.
Auntie Jean will be greatly missed and I am so blessed to have been able to sit by her side and hold her one last time before she joined our Savior and her beloved Bud, our Uncle.
Forever in my heart she will remain until we meet again. I love you all!
