Patrick “Pat” Tyson – 45 of Phoenix, AZ passed away on November 4, 2021. Pat was born in Petosky, MI and lived in Cheboygan, MI until the age of two when the family moved to Arizona. Pat Graduated from Arcadia High School in 1995 and from Beloit College in 1999.
Pat was a loving father of Addison, a grateful son of George and Kathy Tyson, a faithful brother of Duncan and Christy Tyson and a loyal friend to all. Pat will be remembered for his spirited banter, prideful mindset and care for all those in his life. His independent spirit allowed him to experience a life full of connections that he cherished. Pat’s love for his daughter Addie is unrivaled and we are blessed in knowing that she is in the caring hands of Ashleigh.
Our family is asking that in lieu of flowers or gifts that you spread the love with a local organization of your choice by donating items for Thanksgiving meals for families. Thanksgiving was Pat’s favorite holiday gathering with family & friends and he would love nothing more than to ensure that others have the opportunity to have the same experiences that he had throughout his life during the holiday.
The family is holding a private ceremony in remembrance of Pat and details for his Celebration of Life will follow shortly.

I haven’t seen Pat since High School but I remember him as a kind and easy going young man. He was always friendly and quick to say “hello” or chat for a minute. I’m so very sorry to hear of his passing, especially at such a young age. May you find a little more peace with each day, time and love really is the key to healing from this kind of loss. A side note: I read a book that made a huge difference in my own grieving process, “It’s Ok That You’re Not Ok” by Megan Divine.

Dearest Kathy and George,
I just can’t put in words how sorry I am for you two. Will put you on our prayer list for a long time.
We so enjoyed getting together with both of you in Atchison for the great lunch you planned.
Colleen also sends her condolences but doesn’t use computer so asked me to send it.
We will definitely be sending a Thanksgiving meal for people at our church.
Lots of hugs,

Thinking of you guys. Pat was an amazing friend and will always hold a special place in my heart. Over the last few days I have been constantly reminded of all of the great times we had together. There was no shortage of laughs. I don’t understand these things and why they happen, however I know God has him now and he is enjoying the second chapter and of course the best one of the all. Love the Tyson family more than you know.

Like everyone else, I was terribly saddened to hear of Pat’s passing.
He and I were classmates at Beloit College and became very close as pledge brothers at Sigma Chi. We shared some great memories during those four years in Wisconsin and on into our post-college years. He was a terrific friend and a real stand up guy. He will be missed very much.
My thoughts and prayers to all of Pat’s family and loved ones.

Pat was such a great friend when i started Hopi in 5th grade. He always had a smile and positive attitude on. At the 10 year reunion he hadn’t changed a bit, just so positive and happy. He was just so young to go to this soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys.
