Robert James Verdugo Jr obit pics

Robert James Michael Verdugo Jr., of Phoenix, AZ, left us suddenly, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, doing what he loved.
Robert had two beautiful children Alanie Lyn Verdugo & Robert Elliot Verdugo, who he cherished with all his heart and soul.

Robert was born October 31, 1995, our Halloween baby, to his parents Robert Verdugo & Jamie Lyn Kalae Hanamaikai, in Phoenix, Arizona at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Robert worked as a Union Sheet Metal Worker, out of local Union 359, he was in school and at the top of his class. He was an up and coming Apprentice with high praise from all who knew him and worked with him.

His passion was as a Movement Artist in parkour, but he was born a B Boy, thanks to his Tio’s Alex “Bruno”, Joseph, and Richard “Richie”, showing him the way of the head spin. Robert had a passion about life and was incredibly talented as an athlete. He excelled in anything he put him mind to and worked hard to not only accomplished but master it all. He loved attending First Friday’s downtown where he would enjoy local food, art, and dance battles on the corners. He loved playing with Dinosaurs and Mario Brothers with his son Robert. His daughter Alanie shared a passion with him in all things Anime. He loved his children and was an amazing father he lived for them and will watch over them from Heaven. His one true love Imelda Rayas was always in his heart.

Robert is survived by his two children Alanie Lyn and Robert Elliot Verdugo, his father, step-mom and sisters; Robert, Marie, Mia, Regan, Catalina Verdugo, his mother, brother and sisters; Kalae Hanamaikai, Noah, Leilana and Kaili Paulino. He is further survived by his Nana Connie Verdugo, and many tio’s, tia’s, cousins, friends, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his Tata Larry Verdugo, Grandmother Gylene Bachiller, Aunt Jenna Hanamaikai.

Please join us in honoring a life well lived. Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 2312 E. Campbell Ave, Phoenix, AZ, 85016 on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, starting with a visitation at 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 11:00 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at East Resthaven Cemetery at 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ, 85042. Following will be a celebration of his life at Sheet Metal Workers Union 359, 2604 E. Adams St, Phoenix, AZ 85034.

Our condolences to Robert and Marie, also, Connie Verdugo, his grandmother, and ALL his family.Robert will be missed and too me he was always so kind and thoughtful. At the family gatherings, he would greet me as Julian’s grandma. Lil Robert was a social butterfly and was not afraid of talking to people. I will miss talking to him and know that he sleeps until Jesus comes back for all of us who are waiting for HIM. With heartfelt sympathy, Alicia, and The Valencia’s
