VETRY, AMIR

March 31, 2022 6 Condolences

Amir Vetry obit pics

February 05, 1969 – March 27, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Amir Vetry on March 27, 2022 at the age of 53 years. Amir lived a peaceful life but unfortunately his life ended tragically. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner and soul mate of 30 years, Jackie; children: Amir Jr., Shirin and Afshin; parents: Ellie G. and Mehdi, brothers; Andrew and Hoss as well as numerous relatives, and friends.

Amir Vetry was a sympathetic, kind-hearted human being. He moved through the world with an honest and loving heart, which brought comfort and joy to anyone he touched. He was a forgiving person, a dedicated father with great passion for his beloved kids, and a giving friend to those who surrounded him. Amir instilled in his children the deep values and principles he lived by: integrity, compassion, trust, and transparency.

Amir was a U.S. Veteran and many tours, including in Iraq and Afghanistan. His fellow soldiers knew him as a brave, intelligent and thoughtful leader. He grew up in San Francisco and held a Master’s Degree from University of Phoenix.

Today we celebrate the life of Amir Vetry with his family and friends in the way he would have wished it to be – all of us united under his peaceful spirit. We celebrate all the positive energy he left with and within every individual in this room, and we thank him for his kindness and infinite heart. Amir Vetry loved infinitely and gave endlessly. To say that he will be dearly missed is an understatement.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00AM with a Funeral Service to start at 10:00AM on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. For those unable to attend service at 10AM please join via live stream at: https://www.facebook.com/WhitneyMurphyFH/live/
Burial to follow at 12:30PM at VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com

Alex , We will always remember you being a good person, friend , and a great loving father and husband. I will never forget that you helped me understand English the first time I came to this country many years ago, you were always make great effort to learn our culture (Bolivian culture) . So, you can participate on our family reunions . You did great! And your salsa dancing was hilarious! We will take care of your children and my sister just the way you did it! RIP Alex you are in a better place now. Blessings for the family.

I met him on Thanksgiving last year and thought him to be so very kind, respectful and engaging. His devotion to his children was obvious and deep. He appeared so calm and friendly to all of us and has been a warm beautiful light in my daughters life ..I am so saddened by his loss as in turn the loss if him is ours. I wish I met him sooner so I could’ve known him longer. ❤

    Dear Alex,

You, Jackie, Amir, and Shirin are some of the earliest memories I have in this world. I remember being a flower girl at your wedding to Jackie, tortillas and half-and-half snacks, playing with Amir in his red toy car in the backyard (I was so jealous of his toy car!), and dancing to Eiffel 65 in the apartment on Monterey Blvd. You had been on my mind the last six months in particular, and I was very sorry to hear only yesterday of your passing. I still have the two gifts you brought back from Iraq, and in fact one of the gifts from Baghdad I still keep out. I will try my best to support Amir and Shirin and Jackie for you.

    Samantha
