I have such fond and funny memories now that I look back. I was a brand new rep, probably on the job 10 minutes and I was attending my first function, a grand opening of a Clyde Hardware remodel. I was so nervous and wanted to make a good impression. Well, a few minutes in my shoe broke and I had to run and find new shoes. I was a bumbling mess and then Margaret called us all in around the counter and she prayed with us. I knew then that all would be ok and she felt like Mom from that day on and she was a comforting presence everytime I saw her.
Rest in peace sweet Mom, you will never be forgotten.

Margaret was one of the sweetest women I have ever met. I got to see her one last time, just before Thanksgiving at Clyde Hardware. I was in the parking lot walking to the will call desk and noticed a woman getting into a car that was parked in Margaret’s “Mom’s Spot” parking place. As I passed by I thought to myself “How dare she park in Margaret’s spot!” I felt my face flush when I came out of the will call doors to leave and found that the woman I had seen was moving the car so that Margaret could get inside of it. I guess that was Mom’s car in “Mom’s Spot”! Oops! I had a good chuckle with the woman when I told her what I had been thinking and I was lucky enough to get to see Margaret for the what I now know was the last time. She was in good spirits that day and we exchanged hellos. I am grateful I got to see her one last time. She was always so warm and friendly and I will never forget our phone conversations where she quoted scripture to me. I can still hear her voice reciting the words. I will never forget you Margaret. You were one special lady and I know you are watching over us.
