Mary Gormley Walker, 91, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2019. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was as strong and feisty as she was loving and caring. Her smile and laughter were contagious and constant.
Mary was born in 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended Trinity College in Washington DC, where she met the love of her life, Conde Walker. They were married on March 31, 1951. In 1963, they relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where they raised three wonderful children; Jerry, MaryKate, and Anne. They joined Saint Francis Xavier Parish where they were very active in the community. Mary taught at Rancho Solano Private School for twenty-seven years, where she was loved by all. She shaped the lives of many preschoolers, sending them into the world with a Boston accent. Students came back to visit her long after they graduated.
Mary’s greatest loves were her family and her close friends who became like family, she cherished the time spent with them, especially on Sundays for family dinner. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Conde Walker and her brother Henry Gormley. She is survived by her son, Jerry Walker (Amy Walker), daughters Mary Kate Knaack (Troy Knaack) and Anne Walker; and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jerry…I never met your Mother, but she sounds like she not only treasured everyone she came in contact with, but was treasured by all as well. I’m praying that happy memories of her wrap loving arms around you & your family at this time & the days to come. Peace be to her♡
