One of Arizona’s most accomplished Carnivorous Dissecting Technician, David Nolan Walker Sr. AKA “Meat King” (76) passed away in his home on June 16, 2021 in Phoenix surrounded by his immediate family. He was born August 10, 1944 in Hollister, CA, but lived majority of his life in Phoenix, AZ. David was an entrepreneur at heart owning several meat packing businesses in Arizona. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Alice Acuna Walker. Together they raised 2 daughters and 1 son: Renee Walker – Pua, David Walker Jr., whom he shared the same birthdate with for 52 years, and Caroline “Rochelle” Walker. His greatest joy was spending time with his family that he loved dearly. He had 3 grandchildren who made his heart sing: Denee Miller, D.J Pua (passed 2013) and Aleea Walker (11). He had 3 great grandchildren who made his heart sing even louder: Deja Miller (13), J.J Miller (10), and Donovan Miller (5). Some of David’s amazing attributes were his sense of humor, infectious laughter, storytelling, and his smile. He enjoyed watching and participating in drag racing, watching MMA, boxing, and loved planting trees. David was a brilliant and innovative man who loved Jesus Christ with all his heart and is rejoicing with his heavenly father. The viewing will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, on Thursday, June 24, 2021 beginning at 4:00pm. Graveside services will be held at Johnson Mortuary & Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 South 1st Ave Yuma, AZ 85364, on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00am. David will forever be deeply missed by his family and friends.
