passed away at the age of 102 at the Beatitudes Campus in Phoenix, her home since 2005. She enjoyed a long life, many caring friends and a sharp mind throughout. Mary loved cooking, people and travel. She was a person of deep faith, strong character and had a good sense of humor. She was a bread-baking maestro who thrived on cooking for others. Before retirement, Mary managed the cafeteria and served as an instructor at Perry Institute of Phoenix, a vocational school for the developmentally disabled for 17 years. Predeceased by her husband George Walsh in 1974, she is survived by her four children: Pat Walsh of Bellingham, WA; Jim Walsh of Houston, TX; David Walsh of Marblehead, MA and Mary-Frances Walsh (Holewinski) of Westport, CT; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, October 26th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix.
