Patricia (Pat) Weber, 89, passed away peacefully in hospice care on March 31, 2016, in Scottsdale AZ. She was born on “Groundhog Day,” February 2, 1927 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. After graduation from Holy Spirit High School she moved to Philadelphia, PA, where she earned her RN degree at St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. Soon after she met her future husband, Bob Weber, on a blind date. They married and moved to CA in 1953, then, following Bob’s career in the car industry, they made their final move to Phoenix in 1957. Pat loved her home of 50+ years in Biltmore Heights where she raised her family and grew beautiful roses in her garden. She was a devout Catholic who prayed, attended Mass and lived her faith daily. In 1973, at age 50, she returned to ASU and received her BSN. She worked for Maricopa County in South Phoenix as a Public Health Nurse, Charge Nurse in the Maternal and Child Health Clinic and in administrative positions for 21 years, from 1973-1994. After retirement she returned to ASU, to earn her Certificate in Gerontology. She volunteered and served on the board of the AZ State Public Health Association, The Children’s Defense Council, Mental Health Guild, Beatitudes Center DOAR, CODAMA and many others. She was a proud member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Pat is survived by her 3 children: Debbie (Scott) Coor, Bob (Nancy) Weber Jr. and Scott (Laurie) Weber, 4 grandchildren: Tiffany, Stephen, Stephanie and Carson, and 1 great granddaughter Rhena Grace, all of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Robert T. Weber Sr., great granddaughter Juniper Anne, parents Thomas Howard and Margaret Kircher Dennery, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. We would like to thank the staff of Barton House in Scottsdale for their loving care over the 7 years Mom resided there on her dementia journey and Hospice of the Valley Eckstein Center, where Mom spent her last days in comfort. My deepest condolences to the family. I worked for Patricia years ago providing prenatal care to young teens at Carl Hayden High School. She spoke so proudly of her faith and family. You will be missed Pat, as you start your new journey. RIP my friend until we meet again.

Your Mother was a very kind, sensitive woman; she treated everyone with respect and dignity, but was especially
good to the downtrodden and mentally ill. I first met Pat when I applied to be a public health nurse at the Buckeye
Primary Care Center in 1972. One thing I remember especially was that at lunch time at the clinic, she would ask
me to cover for her as triage nurse. She would go to make a visit at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and would
return half an hour later bringing me a Jack-in-the-Box fruit pie.
She was indeed a special woman!

Though I left Phoenix a long while ago now, the memory of Pat Weber is fresh in my mind. She was a quiet force of inspiration for me when I had a large loss in my life. Pat modeled for family and friends the qualities of true Christian values along with humor and openness. It was a blessing for all who crossed Pat’s path through the many chapters of her life. We are grateful.
