WENTWORTH DAILEY, PAULA

April 26, 2023 Leave A Condolence

In Memorial

Paula Wentworth Dailey, 56, died unexpectedly on March 29, 2023, at her home in Beaufort, North Carolina. Paula was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and then attended and graduated from the University of Colorado.

She then met and married the love of her life, Mike Daily, in Denver, where Mike worked as a computer programmer for the federal government and Paula served as a federal wildlife biologist. They raised four children in Denver, and in 2011 moved to Beaufort, North Carolina.

Paula had a passion for wildlife, especially all birds from eagles to small hummingbirds, and then whales and turtles, but only cats at home.

Paula is survived by husband Mike, her children Ryan, Lindsey, Kalah and Tommy; her grandchildren Dillon, Emeri, Jaylah, Jaxon and Aliza, and her sister Laura Wentworth Ohnesorgen and her father Paul Wentworth.

Paula’s constantly smiling face and caring heart will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Backstreet Pub in Beaufort. Please consider a donation in Paula’s name to a local animal shelter of your choice. Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com.

I was so sorry to hear about Paula’s passing. I remember her and her sister, Laura, so we’ll from my time teaching at All Saints Episcopal Day School. She was a bright light as a young girl and one of my favorite students. Sad that her life was cut so short. My deepest condolences to her family.
