91 passed away August 8, 2011. Born in Providence, Rhode Island July 31, 1920 to Frank and Margaret Holden, she moved to Phoenix with her two sons in 1954. Barbara enjoyed a successful real estate career and operated a liquor Co-op business servicing local restaurants until 89 years of age. She had a love of breeding standard poodles and her “chocolates”! Son Donald Werner preceded her in death in 1965. She is survived by son David and his wife Sheryl. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Monday, August 15, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Hospice of the Valley.
