WHITE III, RAYMOND TERRY

June 4, 2021 3 Condolences

Raymond White for photo board

Phoenix-Raymond Terry White III, age 73, passed away on May 11, 2021, after a brief illness. Ray was born in New Haven, Connecticut to Raymond and Marilyn White. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Donna White; his sons Raymond Terry White IV, and Jason (Jennette) White, grandsons; Corey and Austin White and their mother Tricia White, and granddaughter; Destiny White.

Ray moved to Phoenix after the “Blizzard of ’78” in Connecticut. He loved the warm weather, the desert most of all his family. He used to say that “everyday home from Nam was a good day!” Ray was a furniture refinisher by trade, but his true love was spending time with his family and friends. He coached his boys in T-ball, Little League and soccer. He was a Cub Scout and Webelos Leader. He was the primary caregiver for Destiny since she was a year old. He went to all of her baseball games and activities. he loved his four dogs and they could often be found sitting with him in his chair. He belonged to a Muzzle Loading group and loved to go shooting. Ray taught Wood Shop classes to students with special needs. He was “Tool Time Ray” to many. Ray was known as “Noogie” to others. Noogie was the elf who helped Santa by giving “noogies” to those on the naughty list!

Ray was a wonderful man who loved and was loved very much and will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service to honor Ray’s life will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix.
