Danny Wilcox obituary 2

January 23, 1947 – February 2, 2022

Danny Wilcox, 75, of Phoenix, AZ, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on February 2, 2022.
Danny grew up in the South Phoenix Grant Park barrio and wore many hats throughout his lifetime. He leaves behind many memories as a son, brother, grandfather, uncle, friend, and community servant, but most of all as a father. He loved his family and lived life in faith and as fervently as he could. His sense of humor and laughter were infectious to many, and notably, he was a fan of the Denver Broncos. Danny was a longtime employee of Frank Ziede Produce Company, and then served the City of Tolleson as Constable for 18 years.
Danny is survived by his companion, Julia Escobedo; daughters, Valerie (Tom) Wilcox DelRosario, Natalie Wilcox Rodriguez; son, Joseph Wilcox; grandchildren, Shawn Deadwiler II, Dasani DelRosario, Nayeli Rodriguez, Arlet Rodriguez, Brisa Rodriguez, Nazareth Wilcox; sisters, Linda Abril and Mary Cordova; brothers, John Angulo, Earl Wilcox, Marcos Andrade, Arthur Andrade, David Andrade, Paul Andrade, Michael Andrade; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Andrade; stepfather, Arturo Andrade, father, Thomas Wilcox, Sr.; son, Daniel Wilcox (Junior); brothers, Thomas “Tommy” Wilcox, Andres “Andy” Andrade; and sister, Patricia “Patsy” Valdez.
A Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service to immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Catalyst Church, 3830 N. 67th Ave., in Phoenix. Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery located at 2033 N. 48th Street, in Phoenix. Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com.
