91 passed away on 1-25-11. Born in England, Betty moved to the US in 1939 and to AZ in 1958. Betty’s positive attitude and fondness for children, family and friends will provide lasting memories for those who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her sons Greg (Joan), Bob (Sue) and David; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. We will celebrate Betty’s life at 1:30pm, Saturday, January 29 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley.

To the Family of Mrs. Betty Wilson,
Though I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Wilson personally, it was as if I came to know her through Dave’s loving description of the mother he so adored.
What a blessing it must have been to be able to claim her as your own! It seems there were many who did just that – not only those connected through cherished family ties, but also an extended “family of the heart,” linked by love and nurtured by her warmth and gentle spirit.
While the loss to those she leaves behind is immeasurable, I hope that memories of joyful times spent in her company, and knowing that she is safely home, will be of continuing comfort in the days to come.
