A devout Roman Catholic left us on March 12, 2019 to go home to Heaven and be with the Lord. Ken was born on May 19, 1945 in Cambridge Massachusetts. He dedicated over 40 years of his life taking care of countless patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Ken was also known as having the best green thumb, as he could make anything grow. He loved everyone that came into his life. His kind hearted mannerisms and ways were felt by all who were blessed to meet him. His eyes and smile would light up the room. Ken never judged which is why he has touched the lives of so many.
When Ken moved to Arizona in the early 80’s, he continued his career as a registered nurse. On February 6, 1983 Ken was blessed with his only child Adam Christopher Womboldt. Ken was a loving and dearly devoted father to Adam. He was also just as loving and devoted to his daughter in law Jessica Lee. On September 1st 2012, Ken was blessed with his most prized title “Papa” by his grandson Logan Lee Womboldt.
Ken will be dearly missed, especially by his faithful companion his dog Paris, his extended family and longtime friend Jeff Downey. We were all blessed to have Ken in our lives when he was here with us. We will continue to be blessed as Ken is now watching over us, protecting us and most importantly loving us from heaven.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.

O God, Who hast commanded us to honor our father, look in the tenderness of Thy mercy upon the souls of my father and forgive his sins, and grant unto me the joy of seeing him again in the glorious light of everlasting life. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
